Mohali, March 13 (IANS). The party and the opposition are face to face on the LPG crisis. The Central Government has assured the people of the country that there is no shortage of gas. People should not panic, but the opposition says that there is a difference between the words and actions of the government. Punjab government minister Aman Arora said that the ground reality is very serious. The government is becoming ignorant even after seeing it.
While talking to the media in Mohali, Minister Aman Arora said that people are standing in long queues everywhere to get gas cylinders. If Hardeep Puri just says something, what difference will it make? It’s not the words, it’s the actions that matter. The ground reality is quite serious. The government cannot ignore it blindly. I would just say that this problem is becoming serious and should be dealt with seriously.
He raised questions as to why people were standing in long queues. If there is really no problem, then why did the Petroleum Ministry itself issue an advisory yesterday. Earlier LPG cylinder could usually be booked after 21 days, but now they are saying that it can be booked after 25 days. Why is it like this? Your actions and your statements contradict each other.
Regarding Progressive Punjab Summit, Minister Aman Arora said that this is one of the best and biggest industrial policies brought by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Bhagwant Mann and with the vision and support of Arvind Kejriwal. I believe that if the industries themselves are asked what they want, then I think better results cannot come than that.
The Punjab government and the industries department formed several sector-wise committees such as for textiles, cycle parts, sporting goods and real estate and asked them what they wanted from the government. When a policy is made after consulting the industries themselves, nothing better can be expected from it. The same enthusiasm can be seen in the Investor Summit.
The minister claimed that this is going to be the biggest investor summit. Where thousands of youth will also get employment.
