New Delhi, May 28 (IANS). The charter plane of Siddaramaiah, who has resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Karnataka, had to be diverted to Jaipur airport due to bad weather. Siddaramaiah was going from Bengaluru to Delhi, but due to bad weather and adverse conditions in Delhi, the flight had to land in Jaipur.
According to the information, a total of 9 people including KJ George, Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala were aboard the charter plane along with Siddaramaiah. The plane is currently stopped at Jaipur airport and will be flown to Delhi after the weather clears.
During this, former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot met Siddaramaiah at Jaipur Airport. There was a brief conversation between the two leaders, which has started being discussed in political circles as well.
Let us tell you that a big change was seen in the politics of Karnataka on Thursday, when Siddaramaiah resigned from his post. After his resignation amid the long-running tussle over leadership change in Karnataka Congress, now the path is considered almost clear for DK Shivakumar to become the next Chief Minister.
As per the pre-planned programme, Siddaramaiah left his official residence and reached Raj Bhavan. However, the Governor was out of the state at that time, so he submitted his resignation to the Raj Bhavan officials.
After resigning, Siddaramaiah also addressed a press conference. “I have submitted my resignation to the Governor’s office. The Governor is not here, he will return tonight, so I submitted my resignation to his office,” he said.
This sudden political development in Karnataka and the diversion of Siddaramaiah’s plane to Jaipur has created more political discussion.
