New Delhi, May 27 (IANS). Opposition parties have given their reaction to the decision given by the Supreme Court on Wednesday on Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. Opposition leaders welcomed the court’s decision and targeted the BJP and the Election Commission.

Punjab minister and senior AAP leader Aman Arora said, “We respect the Supreme Court and accept its order. We have said from the beginning that we have no fear, apprehension or any opposition to any kind of process, be it SIR or anything else. The matter of concern is that the Election Commission of India is carrying out the SIR. Behind this fear of the Commission is its intention, its working style, on which not only the Aam Aadmi Party but most of the people of the country do not have faith.” Is.

Punjab Minister Aman Arora said, “We have asked all our people, MLAs and workers to keep an eye on the SIR. The workers should make people aware so that it does not happen that people sit at home and do not get information about it. Also, a close watch should be kept on the voter list and everyone’s voting rights can be completely ensured.

Meanwhile, TMC MP Kalyan Banerjee said, “In the judgment that I have heard, it has been held that the security provided by the Election Commission was adequate. An interesting thing has been said in it that the Election Commission does not have the right to decide who is a citizen and who is not.”

On the other hand, Congress MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh said, “It is not appropriate to comment on the Supreme Court’s decision. There were many discrepancies in the SIR and many living people were declared dead. Such people have had tea with Rahul Gandhi. It is possible that these discrepancies may have been rectified. I welcome the Supreme Court’s decision with respect.”
