Hyderabad, May 5 (IANS). Telangana Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao on Tuesday reviewed the preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Hyderabad on May 10.
Chief Secretary Dr. BR Ambedkar reviewed the preparations for the Prime Minister’s visit in a meeting at the Telangana State Secretariat and directed officials of all departments to ensure comprehensive arrangements with mutual coordination.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate several development projects during the visit and will also address a public meeting at the Parade Ground in Secunderabad. In view of this, the Chief Secretary directed the Police Department to make security, law and order, traffic and other necessary arrangements as per the ‘Blue Book’ protocol.
According to the official release, the fire department has been directed to deploy adequate fire tenders at Begumpet Airport, helipad and all event venues. The health department has been asked to ensure medical facilities.
Police, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and Roads and Buildings Department have been instructed to inspect all the routes of the Prime Minister’s convoy and make repairs on war footing, if necessary. The electricity department has been asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply at all places. He stressed on working with mutual coordination with all the departments so that the Prime Minister’s visit can be completed successfully.
Director General of Police CV Anand, Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, Naveen Mittal, Dana Kishore, Vani Prasad, Home Secretary Shikha Goyal, Intelligence ADG Anil Kumar, Police Commissioner VC Sajjanar, Ramesh, Sumati, Fire Department DG Vikram Singh Mann, GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan and other officers were present in this meeting.
Meanwhile, Union Minister of State for Home B Sanjay Kumar said that as a BJP worker, he is ready for Prime Minister Modi’s meeting at the Parade Ground on May 10.
In his social media post, he described the Prime Minister as a leader who gave a new direction to governance, restored national pride and set the direction for a strong India.
B Sanjay Kumar said that this is not just a public meeting, but a moment where people will listen and take inspiration to move forward.
He appealed to give a grand welcome to Prime Minister Modi in Telangana and said that this is the Prime Minister’s first visit to the state after his third term. He claimed that the BJP government at the Center is committed to the development of Telangana.
He said that Prime Minister Modi will dedicate development projects worth Rs 7,823 crore to Telangana during this visit.
