Mumbai, October 19 (IANS). Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday greeted farmers, municipal corporation employees and the people of Thane on the occasion of Diwali. He said that this Diwali will bring happiness to every section of the society as the government has taken many steps in the interest of farmers and employees.
Shinde further said that the public will teach a lesson to those who insult Shiv Sena’s values and leaders like Anand Dighe.
Shinde said, “At some places there is an atmosphere of happiness, while at some places there is a situation of disaster. Farmers are facing difficulties, but the government has ensured that their Diwali is not dark.”
He stressed that the government stands with the farmers and is helping them overcome the crisis. I wish the farmers, may this Diwali bring happiness and prosperity in their lives.
Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde announced increased bonus for Municipal Corporation employees this time as compared to last year, due to which the employees are happy. Apart from this, he informed that for the first time after the strike of ST (State Transport) employees, they were given a bonus of Rs 107 crore, due to which one lakh employees are satisfied.
Strengthening Shiv Sena’s stronghold in Thane, Eknath Shinde targeted Uddhav Thackeray and his party. He said, “The people of Thane will teach a lesson to those who do not stand firm on their views. Thanekar will teach a lesson to those who insult Anand Dighe Saheb.”
He claimed that Balasaheb Thackeray is in his heart and Anand Dighe is in his blood. Some people knock on people’s doors only during elections, but I and my Shiv Sainiks stay among the people throughout the year and help them.
Expressing confidence in the strength of the Mahayuti alliance, Shinde said, “Mahayuti has won in the Lok Sabha and Assembly and our saffron will wave in the local self-rule institutions also.”
He said that I appeal to the people of Thane to stand firmly with Mahayuti and Shiv Sena, because this alliance works in the interest of the public. Saffron will always be flying in Thane because we are with the people throughout the year.
