Chamoli, 20 November (IANS). Agriculture and Rural Development Minister of Uttarakhand Government, Ganesh Joshi along with his family reached Badrinath Dham for darshan of Lord Badrivishal. After reaching the Dham, Minister Joshi performed formal puja, havan and yagya and prayed to Lord Badrinath for the happiness, peace, health and prosperity of the people of the state.
He said that Badrinath Dham is the center of faith of Uttarakhand, and one gets a divine experience every time one comes here. Minister Joshi went among the devotees who had come to visit the Dham and also took feedback from them regarding travel arrangements, security and available facilities.
Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the state government is continuously working to make the Chardham Yatra smooth and safe. During this, the Minister appreciated the arrangements made by Badri-Kedar Temple Committee (BKTC) and said that the committee is doing excellent work for the convenience of the pilgrims.
He said that under the master plan of Badi Badrinath Dham, the government’s commitment to the development of the pilgrimage area and expansion of passenger facilities is continuously getting stronger.
During the visit, Minister Ganesh Joshi also met Rawal Amarnath Namboodiri, pilgrimage priests and Haq-Haquk holders and had a cordial conversation. Describing the role of the pilgrimage priest community as important, he said that their contribution in maintaining the pilgrimage tradition and religious dignity is extremely inspiring.
Along with this, the minister also met the local shopkeepers, inquired about their well being and listened to their suggestions seriously. After listening to the suggestions, he said that the government is also working on many schemes for the economic development of Badrinath area and to strengthen the livelihood of the local people.
Minister Ganesh Joshi said that the system of BKTC is going well. We have visited each and every place. The biggest thing is that everyone has given good feedback. The arrangements here are continuously being expanded. Good arrangements are being made from every temple. The special thing is that people are taking darshan and worship comfortably.
On this occasion, many dignitaries including the minister’s wife Nirmala Joshi, Vice President of Badri-Kedar Temple Committee Rishi Prasad Sati, BKTC CEO Vijay Thapliyal were present.
