While addressing an election rally in Katihar district of Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a sharp target on RJD and Congress. He said that Congress leaders are calling Chhath festival as drama so that the people of Bihar can vent out their anger on RJD and defeat it. PM Modi alleged that RJD even got the Chief Minister’s post announced by showing guns to Congress.

Why feel ashamed in taking father’s name: PM Modi

Prime Minister Modi strongly criticized the absence of former Chief Minister Lalu Yadav’s photo from RJD posters. He said, “Look at the posters of RJD and Congress. He (Lalu Yadav), who was the Chief Minister for many years and brought Jungle Raj to Bihar, his picture is either missing from the posters or is so small that it cannot be seen even through binoculars. Why are you ashamed of taking your father’s name? What is the sin that RJD has to hide from the youth of Bihar?”

Congress is eyeing RJD’s vote bank: PM Modi

Taking a dig at Congress, PM Modi said, “Those who harass and abuse Biharis, Congress has called them for campaigning so that RJD faces your anger. Congress knows that if RJD loses this time too, its political career will be over and Congress will capture its (RJD’s) vote bank.” PM Modi said, “Congress leaders in different states are being deliberately made to say derogatory things about the people of Bihar. In Kerala, a Congress leader compared the people of Bihar to beedis; this is also part of the Congress’ strategy.” Taking aim at the opposition, PM Modi said, “These people are compromising security to get votes. They want to give your rightful grain to infiltrators. Only the citizens of India have the right on India’s resources, but the people of Congress and RJD like guns and radicals.”

PM Modi enumerated the works of Nitish Kumar

During this, PM Modi also enumerated the achievements of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He said, “Under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, Rs 10,000 is being deposited in the accounts of women through the Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana in Bihar. Till now, 14 million women have received the money. The double engine NDA government has a huge advantage. The advantage is that every rupee sent from Delhi and Patna goes directly into your account. No thief or robber can steal it.”
