If Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was not in politics, what would he be doing? Has this question come to your mind? Rahul Gandhi himself has cleared this confusion and told what he would have been doing if he was not in politics.
What did Rahul say?
Rahul Gandhi, who is on a two-day visit to Kerala, said that if he had not been into politics, he would probably have been involved in entrepreneurship in the aerospace sector. He said that if he had not been working for any political organization, he would have been doing entrepreneurship in the aerospace sector. Rahul also said that he is a pilot, and his father and uncle were also pilots. He said that we should have a desire to know about everything. We should keep our minds open.
How can India compete with China?
Rahul Gandhi said, “Policy should be made based on the changes happening in the world. How did the US and the UK become powerful? They gained power by controlling transportation. The British controlled steam engines and coal. They built a navy and controlled trade routes. The Americans later did something similar with petroleum.”
He said, “Who dominates technology today? It is not India, not the US, not Europe. It is China. This is a big problem for us, because we are one of the few countries that has the capacity to make this change. I believe that with the right policy and vision, India can compete with China.”
He said, “Our entire system is basically under the control of three or four businesses. They do not produce anything; they mainly help in selling such products which harm our local producers. Take the example of GST; GST hurts the producers. These are the basic issues.” You make a GST that kills small and medium industries, and then later think, “Why are we not creating any jobs?”
