Bihar Assembly Election 2025: Amidst the hustle and bustle of Bihar Assembly elections, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav addressed a huge public meeting in Sakra, Muzaffarpur. As soon as both the leaders came on the stage, there was a surge of new energy among the workers of the Grand Alliance. Taking direct aim at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Rahul Gandhi said that the youth of Bihar are disappointed as they are not getting a future in their own state. He alleged that the remote control of Nitish Kumar is in the hands of BJP.
Remote control is with BJP, people’s voice is not heard
Taking on Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Rahul Gandhi said that Nitish ji’s face is being used. He clearly alleged that his remote control is in the hands of BJP. Rahul questioned that Nitish Kumar calls himself extremely backward, but what has he done for education, health and employment in Bihar in the last 20 years?
He said that you should not think that the voices of the most backward people are heard there. Three-four people control it (the government). Rahul Gandhi insisted that BJP has nothing to do with social justice, hence Prime Minister Modi did not say a word on his caste census question in the Lok Sabha.
Modi only wants votes, did ‘drama’ on Chhath Puja
Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and accused him of doing ‘drama’. Giving the example of Chhath Puja, he said that for PM Modi to perform Chhath Puja, a pond of clean water was made with pipes next to Yamuna in Delhi.
Rahul said, “If Modi ji wanted to create a drama, clean water was brought through a pipe. That pipe was seen on TV.” He said that this shows that clean water will come for Modi ji and the rest of India will bathe in dirty water. He sarcastically said that PM Modi has nothing to do with Yamuna and Chhath Puja, he just wants votes. Rahul said that if you make him do anything for votes, even make him dance on stage, he will dance.
20 year old government has to be changed: Tejashwi
Tejashwi Yadav made a strong call for change in his speech. He said that the time has come to change the 20 year old government. Comparing himself to the farmers, Tejashwi said, “Farmers know that sowing seeds of one brand in the field spoils the crop. Now is the time to sow seeds of a new brand. Nitish Kumar has been the CM of Bihar for 20 years.”
Tejashwi reiterated his point that he wants to remove unemployment and inflation. He said that Bihar is the poorest state and migration is highest here. Making an emotional appeal to the public, he said, “You guys, give a chance to Tejashwi, I will change Bihar.” He said that “Tejashwi is young but his intentions are strong.”
