Bihar Politics: Ritu Jaiswal, who was the president of Bihar state women’s cell of RJD, is now going to join BJP. Ritu Jaiswal will join BJP on 26 May. Ritu Jaiswal had made a distinct identity in the politics of Bihar with her work as the head of Singhwahini Panchayat in Sonbarsa block of Sitamarhi. Ritu was earlier in Nitish Kumar’s party Janata Dal United, after which she joined Lalu Yadav’s party Rashtriya Janata Dal and got many responsibilities there. She was made the state president of the women’s cell. Along with this, she was the spokesperson of the party.
He made the announcement of joining BJP public through social media on Sunday. She will take membership of the party in a simple manner in a program organized at Atal Auditorium of BJP office in Patna on May 26 from 12:19 pm to 1:09 pm. This program will be simple, in which there will be no convoy of vehicles. Ritu Jaiswal said that at present the country is going through many challenges and sensitive situations. The Prime Minister has also laid special emphasis on saving energy and fuel. At such a time, I feel that unnecessary crowd, long convoy and show off is not appropriate.
He has urged people to provide their blessings, good wishes and support wherever they are. If you have made up your mind to attend the event, please use public transport or sharing vehicles as much as possible, so that unnecessary fuel can be saved and we can all together prove to be responsible citizens. He said that people of Patna and surrounding areas who can easily reach the venue without spending extra fuel can come and give their affection, blessings and good wishes.
Let us tell you that Ritu Jaiswal’s break with RJD was decided during the Bihar Assembly elections 2025 itself. Ritu had lost the election from Parihar seat in 2020 by a very narrow margin. However, the party canceled his ticket in the last assembly elections. Angered by the decision, Ritu adopted a rebellious attitude and contested the election as an independent candidate from Parihar seat. Despite contesting as an independent, he secured more than 60 thousand votes and the RJD candidate had to settle for third place. RJD had expelled him for six years.
