Chhattisgarh CM Sai: Emphasis on tribal development, CM Sai gave gifts to Dhurwa Samaj Chhattisgarh CM SAI: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said at the divisional level Nuakhai meeting of Dhurwa Samaj held in Jagdalpur on Sunday that the state government is fully committed to the overall development of tribal society. He highlighted various schemes being run by the Central and State Government for the upliftment of the tribal community, including the ‘Dharti Aba Gram Utkarsh Yojana’ and ‘Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana’ launched by PM Modi.
The Chief Minister said that a provision of Rs 80 thousand crore has been made for the Earth Aba Gram Utkarsh Yojana, which aims to remove the lack of funds in the development of tribal dominated villages. Along with this, Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana has also been started to connect special backward tribes with the mainstream of development. CM Sai assured that these efforts will flow the Ganges of development in tribal areas and community will move forward on the path of progress.
Dhurwa society got gifts
At the ceremony, the Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed social building “Olekh” of Dhurwa Samaj. He described this building as extremely useful for the development of society, which will be useful for the meeting and conferences in future. Along with this, he announced a total of Rs 75 lakh for the construction of DOM at five different places for the society at a cost of Rs 15-15 lakh. He also assured to approve the proposals submitted by 36 sarpanches of Dhurwa Samaj for the development of Gram Panchayats.
At the beginning of the program, CM Sai worshiped the deity of Bastar, Danteshwari and paid tribute to the heroic hero martyr Gundadhur of Dhurwa Samaj. He also explained the importance of the Nuakhai Milan ceremony, in which the deities are offered to the deities before using the new crop. He said that this tradition is a symbol of our rich culture and heritage, which is necessary to keep alive for generations to come.
Atalji’s contribution and discussion of Nayed Nellanar scheme
CM Sai, recalling the contribution of Chhattisgarh state’s creator and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, said that he had formed a separate Tribal Affairs Ministry in the Government of India for the welfare of the tribal community. He also informed that special tribal area development authorities created for the development of Bastar and Surguja divisions have ensured necessary development works in these areas.
The Chief Minister also mentioned the ongoing Nayed Nellanar Yojana in Maoist -affected areas, through which basic facilities like roads, bridges, electricity, water, housing and ration are being provided. He said that the government is committed to providing benefits of public interest schemes to every eligible person.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Bastar MP Mahesh Kashyap and Jagdalpur MLA Kiran Dev were present at the ceremony and many public representatives were present. Everyone wished the Dhurwa Samaj for the Nuakhai Milan ceremony and appreciated the unity and culture of the society. On this occasion, the Divisional President of Dhurwa Samaj Pappu Nag welcomed the Chief Minister and other guests in a traditional way.
