Dehradun Murder Case: A case of murder of relatives has come to light in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand. A youth was shot dead in Patel Nagar police station area late on Sunday night, after which there was a stir. Police reached the spot after receiving the information and started investigating the case by sending the body for post-mortem.
According to the information, Sohail’s younger brother was present in the house, while his parents have gone on Haj pilgrimage. Meanwhile, after an altercation, the younger brother, in an intoxicated state, shot the elder brother Sohail, due to which he died on the spot.
Police and forensic team collected evidence
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police reached the spot, took possession of the body and started investigation. The forensic team also reached the spot and collected evidence. Meanwhile, people of the Muslim community blocked the highway. Police reached the spot and cleared the jam and sent the deceased for post-mortem. According to police officials, nearby CCTV footage is being scrutinized and the matter is being investigated from every angle.
SP City said
Dehradun Pramod SP City Pramod Kumar said that information was received that a person has died due to bullet injury in Bhuddiwala area of Nayagaon area. On receiving this information the police immediately arrived at the police station, the CO, I and the SSP inspected the spot. The body has been sent to the hospital through ambulance. Panchayatnama and PM’s action is being taken. Along with this, FSL has also inspected the spot. Further action will be taken in this matter as per the complaint.
Action will also be taken against those who block the highway
SP said that the highway was also blocked by some persons. An FIR will also be filed against those who created this jam. The investigation is still going on. Whoever has caused this incident will not be spared under any circumstances. The reasons behind the murder are not yet known, but the investigation is being carried forward keeping all possible aspects in mind. Security arrangements have also been increased in the area.”
Dehradun again shaken after Bairagiwala murder case
Earlier on Saturday, a BJP worker was beaten to death in Bairagiwala village of Dehradun, while three members of the family were seriously injured. Following violent protests over the incident, police arrested four suspects and demolished illegal portions of their houses.
BJP worker was murdered in irrigation dispute
According to the police, between 6 and 6:30 pm on Saturday evening, BJP worker Vinod had a dispute with Imtiaz of his own village regarding irrigation of the fields. After the dispute, more than 40 people armed with sticks, wooden planks, hammers and shovels reached Vinod’s house and attacked the family. Vinod died due to being hit on the head with a hammer.
