Pushkar Singh Dhami: Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami participated as the chief guest in the special public relations campaign organized under the program “12 years of faith, development, public welfare” at Baggha Chauvan, Khatima. On reaching the programme, the people of the area gave a grand welcome to the Chief Minister with Chholiya and Tharu cultural dance performances and garlands.
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami said that he is on a two-day stay in Khatima and is starting the programs of his stay from Baggha Chauvan. He said that the Central Government has completed 12 years under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In these 12 years, the Prime Minister has taken many historic and far-reaching decisions in the national interest, due to which India has emerged as a strong power in the world today.
The Chief Minister said that since assuming office, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has started many important schemes and campaigns keeping public welfare at the center. “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” campaign was launched with the aim of empowering mother power, which has ensured respect, safety and opportunities for daughters to move forward.
He said that through the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, cleanliness was made a mass movement across the country and toilet facilities were provided to crores of families. Similarly, through Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, work was done to free mothers and sisters from smoke. A campaign to provide clean drinking water to remote and water-stressed areas was launched through the Har Ghar Jal Yojana.
The Chief Minister said that through Ayushman Bharat Scheme, better health facilities are being provided to the citizens of the country. In Uttarakhand also, every eligible citizen is getting free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh. He said that Ayushman Yojana is one of the largest health schemes in the world, which has given great relief to poor and needy families.
He said that during the difficult times of Corona pandemic, when the whole world was affected and people’s employment was in crisis, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ensured that no person remained hungry. For this purpose, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana was started, through which free food grains are being provided to crores of people.
The Chief Minister said that during the Corona period, India prepared the indigenous vaccine and provided free vaccination facility to the countrymen and also gave the message of global cooperation and world brotherhood by providing the vaccine to many countries of the world.
Chief Minister Shri Dhami said that with the inspiration of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, many historical works have been done in Uttarakhand also. The state government has decided to implement the Uniform Civil Code. To secure the future of youth and ensure transparency in recruitment examinations, strict anti-cheating laws were implemented, as a result of which strict action was taken against cheating mafias and many people were sent to jail.
He said that till now more than 33 thousand youth have been given appointments in government services in the state through a transparent and fair process. The government’s effort is to speed up the pace of development in every area and ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the person standing in the last line.
The Chief Minister said that continuous efforts are being made to expand basic facilities and speed up development works in the Bagha Chauvan area also, so that better facilities can be provided to the residents of the area.
