
IPL News: Ahead of the upcoming 2026 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have sharpened the team’s strategy by including two big names in their coaching and support staff. Former New Zealand team captain and veteran batsman Kane Williamson has been appointed as the strategic consultant of the team, while England’s renowned county cricketer Carl Daniel Crowe has been given the responsibility of spin bowling coach.
Kane Williamson’s brilliant performance
Both these experienced cricket experts, along with the team’s head coach Justin Langer and bowling coach Bharat Arun, will prepare the Lucknow team for the upcoming season. Kane Williamson (35) is currently active in international cricket, his career has been very brilliant. He has scored 9,276 runs in 105 Test matches with the help of 33 centuries and 37 half-centuries. Whereas in ODI matches, he has scored 7,235 runs in 173 matches at an average of 49.2, which includes 15 centuries and 47 half-centuries. Additionally, he has scored 2,575 runs in 93 T20 Internationals at a strike rate of 123.1, including 18 half-centuries. Whose experience will play an important role in the strategic planning of the team.
Kane Williamson expressed happiness
Carl Daniel Crowe, who has joined as spin bowling coach, has good experience in first-class cricket, having scored 695 runs and taken 60 wickets in 42 matches. Before joining LSG, he worked with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), where he played a key role in improving the team’s performance with his spin bowling expertise.
