Mumbai, January 21 (IANS). There have been 126 land deals in India in 2025, with Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) at the top with 32 deals for land of more than 500 acres. This information was given in a report released on Wednesday.
According to Anarock Research, the number of total land deals has been lower than in 2024, but the volume in 2025 has been higher than in 2024.
The report said that builders have made deals for thousands of acres of land in big cities and emerging areas of the country, which shows the confidence of builders in the real estate markets of the country.
Of the 126 land deals in 2025, 96 deals covering 1,877 acres of land are for residential development and are in Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Anarock Group Chairman Anuj Puri said, “The planned development projects in the MMR region include residential, commercial, data centre, industrial and plot development. At least 126 separate deals have been completed across the country totaling over 3,772 acres of land by 2025.”
The highest number of land deals in 2025 took place in MMR and Bengaluru. 27 deals spanning over 454 acres were concluded in Bengaluru. Land prices in both cities have been skyrocketing over the past few years, but that has not stopped developers from focusing on prime properties in these areas.
16 deals involving approximately 137.22 acres of land were concluded for residential, commercial and mixed-use projects in Delhi-NCR.
According to the report, if seen city-wise, there were 4 deals of 39.75 acres in Gurugram, 8 deals of 41.28 acres in Noida, 2 deals of 30.89 acres in Delhi, 1 deal of 12 acres in Greater Noida and 1 deal of 13.3 acres in Ghaziabad.
At least 16 deals were concluded for a total of 2,192.8 acres of land in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities combined by 2025.
