YouTube’s most popular creator, Misterbist (Jimmy Donaldson) recently expressed serious concern over the increasing strength of Artificial Intelligence (AI). He says that as AI tools will start making videos of better quality than humans, this situation can become a threat to the future of YouTube creators.
Concerns about the AI of the Mr.Best came to light when Openai launched its new advanced video generation tool, Sora 2, which is now available on iOS. Any user from this tool can only create a very realistic video by typing text. Experts say that such techniques can have a profound impact on YouTube content, copyright rights and creative profession.
The interesting thing is that the Misterbist himself has also used AI tools themselves. He launched an AI Thumbnail generator at his platform, viewtats, so that YouTube creators could create attractive thumbnails in seconds. However, this facility was criticized, as many people believed that this would affect the jobs of real graphic designers.
Following the growing controversy and users’ response, Mr. Idea decided to shut down the tool. In a post in June, he said, “Thank you for all your reactions. We have removed the AI Thumbnail tool from Vyustats, and now the creators will be able to contact the real thumbnail artists directly.” This step proves that the Misterbist does not deny AI’s strength, but also believes that machines cannot replace human creativity and real artists.
Currently, the AI video construction is moving so fast that in the coming years it will be difficult to determine which videos are real and which are made by machines. The warfast warning is actually a sign that if this technique is not controlled, both the existence and earnings of YouTube creators may be in danger.
