Now the laptops like the phone will also run on Android. Google has made extensive preparations for this by partnering with Qualcomm. Both companies confirmed this at the Snapdragon Summit. Google has already developed chromoS-based laptops earlier, but failed to create a distinct identity than Windows and Mac. Now, preparations are underway to launch new laptops with Android operating systems. This raises questions in the minds of some people whether the days of Windows are going to end.
PC version of Android will come next year
Google has confirmed that it will launch the PC version of Android next year, but has not shared much information. It is believed that it will be announced in Google I/O 2026. With this, users will be able to enjoy mobile and PC services at one place. Given the experience of chromoS and Android, it is believed that Google will develop a new platform with interfaces such as Android and multi-tasking nature of chromoS. A new operating system will be prepared for PC and laptop by combining these two. Qualcomm Head Cristiano Amon said that he is very excited about Android’s PC version.
Windows will face collision
According to reports, Google is trying to compete with Windows through the move. However, this will be a tough challenge. Windows manufacturer Microsoft dominates the field. Millions of people worldwide use windows systems daily. Taking them from Windows to Android can prove to be very difficult for Google. On the other hand, the PC version of Android will complete its ecosystem. The company’s platform is already available for phones, TVs, watches, smart homes and even cars.
