New Delhi, January 4 (IANS). Important announcements will be made and Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) will be signed in the Rajasthan ‘Regional AI Impact Conference 2026’ to be held on 6 January. The objective of the program is to strengthen the AI ecosystem of the state, promote innovation and accelerate the adoption of AI in priority sectors.
As part of preparations for the ‘India AI Impact Summit 2026’ in the country, the Rajasthan Regional AI Impact Conference 2026 will be held in Jaipur.
The IT Ministry said that this conference will serve as an important regional platform to explore how Artificial Intelligence can drive governance reforms, economic growth, innovation and inclusive growth.
Senior leadership will participate in it, including IT and Electronics Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Minister of State for Electronics and IT Jitin Prasad, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, and Rajyavardhan Rathod, Cabinet Minister for IT and Communications in the Government of Rajasthan.
The agenda will include high-level sessions on AI for public service delivery and governance, ethical and responsible AI, AI and the future of employability and skills, and the emergence of Rajasthan’s AI startup and innovation ecosystem.
The discussions will also explore advanced applications such as digital twins and AI-based infrastructure planning, and strategic questions about whether AI can move India from an outsourcing-based model to creating the best intellectual property around the world.
Additionally, the IT Ministry said, experts will share their views on Global AI, National AI and Regional AI strategies, with a unique academic and research perspective brought by IIT Jodhpur, highlighting the role of institutions in shaping locally based but globally relevant AI solutions.
Meanwhile, IndiaAI, in collaboration with the Government of Assam and IIT Guwahati, will organize the Human Capital Working Group meeting on January 5-6, 2026, at the IIT Guwahati campus.
Based on the objective of treating AI as a public utility, the Working Group meeting will focus on designing inclusive, scalable, and responsible approaches to AI-based workforce transition.
The discussions will have a special emphasis on education reforms, gender-responsive AI strategies, and domain-specific enhancement of human capabilities, ensuring that the adoption of AI strengthens human capabilities, not displaces them.
