New Delhi, June 11 (IANS). Indian IT firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) on Thursday announced a strategic partnership with American AI company Anthropic. This will give 50,000 associates an opportunity to learn Cloud AI. The move is part of the company’s AI adoption strategy.

According to TCS, it will create a focused business unit to deliver joint industry solutions and deep AI expertise on the cloud model family through early access to cloud AI models.

The company said that through this partnership the company is trying to take AI projects beyond pilots in general industries.

“TCS’s governance, control and execution capabilities will enable companies to implement cloud AI with confidence,” the IT company said.

“Combining large-scale internal deployment, collaborative product-to-market, industry-wide innovation, and workforce empowerment, this partnership gives clients a practical path to enterprise-wide adoption and measurable results,” the company said.

The partnership also extends to TCS products, platforms and domain-specific solutions.

TCS’s FCA-regulated life and pensions business ‘Diligenta’ in the UK – which serves more than 22 million life and pensions customers – will use ‘Cloud’ to improve customer experience through ‘agentic process transformation’ at scale.

Additionally, BFSI Products and Platforms teams will use Cloud Code to increase productivity in software engineering and IT operations.

TCS will also bring its domain-based engineering expertise to the cloud code ecosystem. This will include reusable skills and plugins, as well as capabilities such as claims settlement and lending advisory.

TCS CEO and AD, K. “The value of enterprise AI comes from understanding the business context, managing complex systems, and applying deep AI engineering talent,” Krithivasan said.

He said that this partnership will help customers move to production faster, especially in industries where trust, strength and regulatory compliance are critical.

Dario Amodei, Co-Founder and CEO, Anthropic, said this partnership further strengthens the company’s commitment to India, its second largest market.

N Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons, said, “By combining Anthropic’s capabilities with the Tata Group’s scale, trusted relationships and commitment to nation-building, we will accelerate new transformations in the enterprise and equip India’s youth with the skills they need to lead in the AI era.”
