These satellites will be able to transmit data among themselves rapidly using lasers. Musk’s dream is even bigger: He wants to build factories on the moon that build their own AI satellites and generate hundreds of terawatts of electricity annually.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai says the next generation AI will be trained on the moon. His company will launch two test satellites by 2027 to see how machine learning tools work in space. Pichai admits that this is a very difficult task, but necessary for the future of AI.
