Thiruvananthapuram, March 28 (IANS). Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Saturday called upon the youth to play a leading role in building a developed India. He said that youth power is the biggest force in the country’s space-based progress.
He was addressing an interactive session organized at Lok Bhawan. At the event, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) scientist Shubhanshu Shukla delivered a lecture on the topic “India in Space, India in Strength: Youth Roadmap for a Developed India”.
The Governor said that “Saare Jahan Se Accha Hindustan Hamara” should not just be the slogan, but it should also be visible in actions and progress. He urged every Indian to work hard to improve the country.
While addressing the students and youth, Shubhanshu Shukla said that the real strength of the country is the youth. He gave the message to the youth to move forward with confidence, courage and hard work and inspired them not to be afraid of failure and set big goals.
Sharing his space experiences, Shukla mentioned his visit to the International Space Station under the Axiom-4 mission. He said that it was an emotional moment to see India from space, where the country appears vast, united and full of possibilities.
He also mentioned the scientific experiments conducted during the mission, which included studies on paddy (rice) seeds from Kerala. He said such efforts show that local knowledge can also contribute to global science.
The Governor said that India’s progress will depend on innovation and new ideas. Giving the example of the country’s space journey, he said that no goal is impossible and the youth should use their talent and imagination in nation building.
At the end of the program, an interactive session was also organized with the students, in which they asked questions and shared their views. During this time the message clearly emerged that the future of India is in the hands of the youth.
