A drone attack in Abu Dhabi has been foiled in the air, but at least six people have been injured by falling debris. Abu Dhabi Media Office (ADMO) has confirmed the incident. This accident happened in the Industrial Zone Ikad 2 area of Abu Dhabi. Officials said that the UAE’s air defense system identified the threat in time and intercepted it, thereby avoiding major damage.

According to information received till March 5, 2026, after intercepting the drone, its debris fell at two different places in the Ikad 2 area. Six people present there got injured after being hit by this debris. According to the UAE Defense Ministry, since February 28, security forces have successfully intercepted a total of 876 drones and 175 ballistic missiles.
A total of 78 people have suffered minor injuries so far during this entire conflict, including 6 injured in the latest incident. At the same time, unfortunately 3 foreign nationals have also lost their lives. Major General Staff Abdulnasir Mohammed Al Hammadi said that the UAE has an excellent defense system for its security.
