Kuwait’s Defense Ministry has informed on March 13, 2026 that their air defense system has identified and foiled an enemy ballistic missile. This missile was outside the danger area. According to reports by Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) and Emirates News Agency (WAM), there was no damage in the incident and the public is completely safe.

What happened in Kuwait and what did the army say?
Kuwait’s Defense Ministry spokesman, Colonel Saud al-Atwan, said the missile posed no threat and caused no damage. In the last 24 hours, warning sirens were sounded once in Kuwait. Meanwhile, bomb disposal (EOD) teams have taken action on 16 complaints related to debris and unidentified objects falling from the sky. Colonel Al-Atwan made it clear that Kuwait’s army is fully prepared to deal with any threat.
Along with this incident, UAE Defense Ministry has also informed that they have shot down 7 ballistic missiles and 27 drones on March 13. The army is continuously working for the security of all the citizens and workers living in the Gulf countries.

In view of the current situation, the Kuwait government has implemented some strict rules for the common people and expatriates living there. Brigadier General Nasser Buslaib of Kuwait’s Interior Ministry has warned that strict legal action will be taken against those who break the rules.
