A major change has been seen in the ongoing peace talks between Russia, Ukraine and America in Abu Dhabi. Russian President Putin’s envoy Kirill Dmitriev said the talks were moving in the right direction. On Thursday, both sides agreed to exchange 314 prisoners. This is the biggest exchange on which both the countries have agreed in the last five months.

What did the American ambassador say on the release of prisoners?
US Ambassador Steve Witkoff informed on social media that for the first time after five months, an exchange of prisoners is taking place. He said that the conversation between the delegation was very detailed and positive. Although a lot of work still remains to be done for the peace agreement, it is considered a good start. Rustem Umerov from Ukraine’s side and Dmitriev from Russia’s side were present in this meeting held on 4 and 5 February.

Despite this, the group working on economic issues between America and Russia has emphasized on improving relations.
