Curfew and restrictive orders in Kathmandu Valley and other parts in Nepal were lifted on Saturday, after which the daily life is gradually returning to normal.

The interim government has been elected in India’s neighboring country Nepal. Sushila Karki became the first woman Prime Minister of the country. Meanwhile, life has started returning to life in Nepal. During the violent protests in the past, restrictions in Kathmandu and other parts of Nepal have also been lifted.

Due to the ban on social media, KP Sharma Oli government was forced to resign due to a nationwide movement, after which the political uncertainty continued for several days to end. Curfew was removed from different areas of Nepal, a day after former Chief Justice Sushila Karki became Prime Minister of Nepal’s interim government on Friday.

At the moment, this is gradually returning to daily life. A Nepal army spokesman said there is no restrictive order or curfew on Saturday. However, the army’s presence in Kathmandu and other areas of Nepal may stay a few more days.

According to Nepal Police data, at least 50 people have lost their lives since the demonstration became violent. The movement began in Nepal against the ban on 26 social media platforms. A large number of youths of Nepal took to the streets. KP Sharma Oli has lost power due to the ‘Jane-G’ movement. He resigned as Prime Minister amidst heavy pressure. After this coup, Sushila Karki has been elected Prime Minister of the Interim Government in Nepal. She has also become the first woman Prime Minister of this country. On Friday, Sushila Karki was sworn in as an interim Prime Minister. In addition, Parliament has been dissolved as a process of formation of a new government in Nepal. President Paudel confirmed that the interim government led by Sushila Karki would be responsible for holding new parliamentary elections within the next 6 months.
