Israel’s famous Channel 12 has claimed in a big report that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei has died. According to the report, photographs of Khamenei’s body and other evidence were shown to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and senior security department officials. Their bodies were said to have been recovered from the wreckage safely in Tehran. After this incident, tension has increased significantly in the entire Gulf region and many countries have closed their air borders.
Information about attack and operation in Tehran
According to security agencies, Khamenei’s body was taken out from under his main compound ‘Beit Rahbari’ in Tehran. Israel had attacked this place with about 30 heavy bombs. Israeli media says that Khamenei’s chances of survival are negligible. America and Israel have jointly carried out this attack which has been given names like ‘Roaring Lion’ and ‘Epic Fury’. The Israeli Prime Minister has said in a speech that Iran’s dictator is no more.
Its impact on Gulf countries and Indians
This major military development is directly impacting the expatriates living in Gulf countries and those traveling by air. Countries like United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Kuwait and Iraq have closed their airspace keeping security in mind. Flights to and from Dubai and Doha airports have been banned. Due to this, passengers traveling between India and Gulf countries may face problems.

Iran’s Foreign Minister has called these reports psychological warfare and said that he does not have any such information. However, he admitted that many military commanders had been killed in the attack. Apart from this, there is a possibility of a huge jump in the prices of crude oil because the risk premium may increase when the market opens. Internet and phone services have also been shut down in many parts of Iran.
