What are the new instructions for expatriates living in Kuwait?
The Amir made it clear in his address that maintaining the peace of the country is not just the job of the security forces, but it is also the duty of every citizen and migrant working here. The Cyber Crime Department is constantly keeping an eye on those sharing wrong information on social media. Indians and other expatriates have been advised not to forward any news without checking.
The Home Ministry will take immediate and strict action against those spreading rumors and fake news. Kuwait’s land and airspace will not be used for military action against any other country. The ministry has clarified that the security forces stand like a united wall to protect the motherland.
How is the latest security situation on the northern borders?
According to official reports, military personnel and some civilians have lost their lives due to missile shrapnel on the northern borders recently. These include Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah al-Sharrah and Major Fahad Abdulaziz al-Mujammad. After this incident, Kuwait National Guard and all major security agencies have significantly increased their deployment.
Patrolling of security forces has been increased in residential areas and major roads to deal with any emergency. Kuwait has reiterated its sovereignty and right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
