In this attack, 15 people including Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) chief commander Saad Dawai al-Baiji have lost their lives. Initial reports put the death toll as low, but it was later confirmed that a total of 15 people were killed and 13 others were injured in the attack. The Popular Mobilization Forces have issued an official statement strongly condemning the attack. According to PMF, this attack has been carried out by the American Army. The attack took place when the commanders of the organization had gathered for an important meeting at their headquarters. Saad Dawi al-Baji, killed in the attack, was the commander of Anbar operations. After this incident, security has been significantly increased in the area and the injured have been admitted to the nearest hospital.
