Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi, who is visiting four countries of the South American continent, said on Saturday that Asha has a universal language and the fight for dignity and democracy is the same.
Gandhi shared pictures of his journey to Colombia and Peru on his YouTube channel.
Rahul Gandhi said that from the vibrant roads of Komunas in Colombia and the classes of Medeline University to a soulful conversation with students in Peru’s Lima, this journey to South America has been full of warmth, bliss and thoughts. He said, “I met artists who use colors as resistance and also met students who dream fearlessly. Their creativity and feeling of courage were really inspiring.”

Rahul Gandhi is on a 10 -day visit to four South American countries Columbia, Brazil, Peru and Chile. The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha is likely to interact with political leaders, students and entrepreneurs during this period. The party said that Gandhi will meet the heads of state and senior leaders of many countries, which will strengthen democratic and strategic relations.
Gandhi claimed at a dialogue program held at the EIA University in Medeline, Columbia on Thursday, that it was currently taking place in India, “Wide attack on democratic system”, but it is a big risk that the country will have to overcome. He also said that it is necessary for the country to allow various traditions to flourish, because “we cannot do like China where people are suppressed and a totalitarian system is run”.
