Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman visited the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid-e-Nabawi) in Medina on the morning of Friday, 20 February 2026. He offered prayers at the holy Rawdah Al-Sharifah and greeted the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The visit took place during the holy month of Ramadan, which is a very special time for devotees.

Information about worship in Masjid-e-Nabavi and Quba Masjid
The Crown Prince offered prayers at the place which is called ‘Riyad ul-Jannah’ i.e. the bed of heaven. He offered salutations to the Prophet Muhammad and his two companions, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Umar ibn al-Khattab. After spending his time at Masjid-e-Nabawi, he also visited Quba Mosque and offered namaz there. During this time Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Sudais and Hajj Minister Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah was also present with him. The administration has also improved the infrastructure in Mecca and Medina for the convenience of the devotees.
Rules for entry into Riyadh ul Jannat for general public
Indians living in Gulf countries and other pilgrims who want to offer Namaz here will have to keep some things in mind. The administration has made rules through Nusuk platform to handle the crowd.
Permit required: You will not be allowed to enter Rawdah Al-Sharifah without a permit, it will have to be booked through the app.
One chance in a year: A permit is issued to a person only once in 365 days.
No Fees: There is no fee to pay for obtaining a permit.
Keep track of time: The timings of Ziyarat have been fixed separately for men and women.
