New Delhi, November 2 (IANS). Reacting to the arrest of Anant Singh in the murder case of Dularchand Yadav in Bihar’s Mokama, the Congress on Sunday criticized the government and termed the incident as the height of jungle raj. Congress leader Udit Raj reacted to the murder of Dularchand Yadav and expressed his opinion on the local political dynamics of Mokama assembly constituency.
While talking to IANS, Udit Raj said that earlier Dularchand Yadav was supporting RJD, while Piyush Priyadarshi is from the Dhanuk community. The Bhumihar population is dominant in Mokama. Both RJD and JDU parties have strong Bhumihar candidates. Dularchand Yadav had tried to get a ticket from RJD but was not successful, so it is possible that his strategy may have been to join Jan Suraj and campaign for them.
Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput also reacted sharply to the arrest of Anant Singh in connection with the murder of Dularchand Yadav and accused the government of spreading anarchy in the state.
He said that this is the height of Jungle Raj, NDA should at least apologize to the country and Bihar. Now the government should tell whose ‘Jungleraj’ is this? Murders, kidnappings, robberies and robberies are taking place all over Bihar. Dead bodies are being found openly, bullets are being fired openly. Dularchand Yadav was dragged to death and then his body was crushed by a car.
According to Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kartikeya Sharma, Anant Singh has been arrested in connection with the murder of Dularchand Yadav. Police said that the incident took place on October 30 near Khushal Chak in Mokama. Jan Suraj candidate Piyush Priyadarshi, also known as Lallu Mukhiya, was campaigning with his supporters, accompanied by Yadav.
Around the same time, Anant Singh and his supporters were reportedly passing through the same area. A heated argument broke out between the two groups, which escalated into stone pelting and violence, resulting in the death of Yadav.
This arrest took place a few days before voting in Bihar. The first phase of Bihar assembly elections will be held on 6 November and the second phase on 11 November. Counting of votes will take place on November 14.
