On the morning of 18 November 2025, an email threat was received about bombs being planted in several district courts of Delhi. After this threat, all the buildings were immediately evacuated and the court proceedings had to be stopped. There was chaos in many court complexes including Tis Hazari and Saket courts.
At which places were threats received?
Affected Courts:
Saket District Court (South Delhi): Completely evacuated, work remained closed for about 2 hours. Tis Hazari District Court (North Delhi): Evacuated and search operation conducted. Other courts on alert: Patiala House, Rohini, Dwarka, Karkardooma.
Alert in schools also:
Similar threats were received in CRPF Public School Dwarka and Prashant Vihar (Rohini area), children and staff were evacuated safely.
Events: Timeline
9-10 am:
Many courts and schools received threatening emails; the emails claimed that bombs had been planted on the campus.
Immediate Action:
All places were evacuated, Delhi Police, Bomb Disposal Squad, Dog Squad and Fire Brigade were called.
By noon:
Complete investigation was done, nothing suspicious was found anywhere, work started again after lunch in Saket Court.
How did you receive the threat?
The threat was sent through email. According to some reports, the name of the sender was linked to “Jaish-e-Mohammed” (a Pakistan-based terrorist organization). Initially a terrorist angle was suspected, but nothing was found in the investigation.
Saket Bar Association’s response
Advocate Anil Basoya, Secretary of Saket Bar Association, said that due to security reasons the court work had to be stopped for about 2 hours. The proceedings were resumed only after a thorough investigation.
What did the police say?
Delhi Police has termed the entire incident as a hoax (fake threat). During a thorough search, no explosive or suspicious material was found anywhere.

The cyber team is tracing the origin of the email. Last time also such threats were sent through VPN, which makes tracing difficult. No one has been arrested yet.
This is not the first time
Such fake threats have been going on in Delhi for some time now:
In September 2025, schools, hospitals and high courts had also received similar threats. In all the cases nothing was found and it was proved to be a hoax. These threats spread panic temporarily, but do not cause any real harm.
Why special attention to security?
Security concerns have increased in Delhi in recent times. A few days ago there was a car blast near Red Fort. For this reason, immediate and massive action is being taken against any kind of threat.
