New Delhi, November 20 (IANS). Black pepper present in the home kitchen is used to enhance the taste of food. Generally it is seen as a spice, but black pepper is not just a spice, it is also an Ayurvedic medicine.
Apart from keeping the body warm in the winter season, black pepper also protects from minor infections caused by the weather, but before consuming it, know with what it is better to take it.
Black pepper contains antioxidants, antibacterial, piperine and anti-inflammatory properties, which make it a medicine. In Ayurveda, black pepper is called Marich, which has the power to balance Vata and Kapha doshas. If Vata and Kapha doshas remain balanced in the body, the problems caused by cold are reduced and digestion remains healthy. If cold and cough are bothering you, taking black pepper with honey is beneficial. For this, grind 4 to 5 black peppers and take it with lukewarm honey. Its consumption provides relief from both dry and phlegmy cough and also increases immunity.
