Not only are the troubles of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Santosh Verma, who came into controversy due to his statement regarding a particular community in Madhya Pradesh, going to increase, but there are also indications of major action being taken against him. At present, he has been removed from the post of Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Department and attached without any department. Actually, Santosh Verma had given a controversial statement in the program of Scheduled Caste Tribe Employees Organization regarding daughters of a particular class. There was resentment in the Brahmin community regarding this statement and there was a continuous demand for action against the officer. The state government also took Verma’s comments seriously and issued him a show cause notice. Santosh Verma has been an officer of the State Administrative Service and was promoted to the status of Indian Administrative Service. He is also accused of using fake documents.
According to officially received information, promotion from State Administrative Service to Indian Administrative Service has been taken by preparing fake and forged orders. Criminal cases are pending in various courts. IAS promotions taken on the basis of fake documents and fraud are in question. The proposal to dismiss the IAS is being sent to the Central Government.
According to sources, the departmental investigation against Verma for the allegation of obtaining certificate on the basis of fake documents is in the final stage. In the present case, the reply presented by Santosh Verma to the show cause notice letter is not satisfactory. He is continuously issuing statements devoid of dignity. Now it has been decided to issue the charge sheet.
The state government has decided to remove Verma from the post of Deputy Secretary, Agriculture Department and attach him to the GAD pool without department and without work. At present, he has been removed from the post of Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Department and attached without any department.
