New Delhi, January 9 (IANS). Tulsi is considered a sacred plant in Indian culture, which is not only a part of religious rituals but also a treasure for health. Tulsi grown in the courtyard or gardens of the house is full of medicinal properties. One variety of Tulsi is named Van Tulsi, which is considered very beneficial for health.
Van Tulsi, also known as Wild Basil, is found in the Himalayan region and is known for its special medicinal properties.
According to the US National Library of Medicine, researchers analyzed several studies and found that consuming basil helps improve diabetes, heart disease, stress and mental health. Most importantly, no study found any serious harm from consuming basil.
Especially Van Tulsi is rich in antioxidants, which protect the body from free radicals. Forest Tulsi, rich in medicinal properties, has a special place in Ayurveda and is used as a tonic, which is effective in increasing the energy and vitality of the body.
The aroma of Van Tulsi is also strong, which also naturally repels mosquitoes and keeps the air pure. Consuming Van Tulsi provides many benefits. It strengthens the respiratory system, helps in removing mucus and provides relief from respiratory problems like asthma, bronchitis, cough.
