New Delhi, January 11 (IANS). Be it a severe toothache or an unbearable migraine headache, when these start, a person gets worried. Many times even normal medicines do not provide relief. In such a situation, Ayurveda suggests clove as an easy and effective solution. It is considered a natural pain killer. The medicinal properties of cloves soothe the pain quickly and provide relief without any side effects.
Clove: In problems like toothache, migraine, cough, cold and stomach ache, it is better to try home remedies instead of expensive medicines. The Ministry of AYUSH of the Government of India describes clove as a very effective natural pain killer, which proves effective in many types of pain and diseases.
Clove is considered a ‘medicinal gem’ in Ayurveda. There are many powerful properties hidden in the spices found in the kitchen. In case of toothache, soaking cotton in clove oil and placing it in the tooth cavity provides instant relief and the worms also die. Applying clove paste on the forehead provides relief from migraine or headache.
In case of rheumatism, back pain or joint pain, light massage with clove oil is beneficial. Clove is also a panacea for mouth and throat problems. Sucking it removes bad breath and provides relief from sore throat.
Not only this, if you suffer from stomach ache, gas or indigestion, drinking clove juice or tea is beneficial. It strengthens the digestive system, increases appetite and maintains Jatharagni (digestive fire). Clove is also very effective in cough, cold, shortness of breath and hiccups in winter. It calms phlegm and pitta dosha. Clove strengthens blood, muscles, nerves and respiratory system. It also increases immunity, because it increases the number of white blood cells in the body.
Clove has a hot nature, hence it is important to use it in the right quantity. Taking large amounts may cause heat, swelling or increased bile. Those who already have heat or acidity problems should exercise caution.
This small spice present in the kitchen not only enhances the taste of food but also prevents and cures many diseases, however, before starting the consumption of cloves, please consult a doctor in special circumstances.
