The work of a very special Performing Arts Center has started in Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia. The total cost of this project is said to be around 5.4 billion riyals (about 1.4 billion dollars). This has been formally announced on 16 February 2026. This center is going to bring a big change in the field of entertainment and culture in Saudi Arabia and the responsibility of building it has been given to the local company Nesma & Partners.

What will be the main features of this centre?
The design of this center is very modern which has been prepared by Tom Wiscombe Architecture. A total of three theaters will be built in this, whose total capacity will be more than 3,000 seats. There will be a theater which will appear suspended in the air and it will be able to seat 500 people. Apart from this, there will also be a cantilever amphitheater from where a beautiful view of the lower plateau of the city will be visible. There are plans to organize more than 260 programs at this place throughout the year.
When will it be ready and what is the benefit?
The target to complete this huge project has been set for December 31, 2029. According to Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC), this center will attract more than 8 lakh tourists every year. Company MD Abdullah Aldawood said that this center will give a new identity to the culture of Saudi Arabia. The project will also provide opportunities for new talents, writers and artists to learn and grow as part of Saudi Vision 2030.
