US President Donald Trump has given a very serious statement regarding Iran. On Monday, February 23, 2026, he clearly said on his social media platform Truth Social that if there is no nuclear deal between America and Iran, it will prove to be a ‘very bad day’ for that country and its people. This statement of the President has come at a time when tension between the two countries is at its peak and the eyes of the world are fixed on this conversation.
Talks will be held in Geneva, time given for 15 days
In a way, President Trump has given Iran 10 to 15 days to think. He has made it clear that he wants a compromise instead of war. In this connection, US Ambassador Steve Witkoff and advisor Jared Kushner are going to Geneva on February 26 to take the talks forward. There will be fresh talks between the two sides. America demands that Iran completely stop its nuclear program and allow investigative agencies to investigate anytime.
Heavy deployment of army and orders to vacate the embassy
Amidst efforts for talks, America has also completed its military preparations. According to reports, America has made its largest military deployment in the Gulf region since 2003. This includes aircraft carriers like USS Gerald R. Ford and USS Abraham Lincoln. Apart from this, in view of the increasing threat, on February 23, the US has ordered the immediate evacuation of non-essential staff and their families from its embassy in Beirut.
Iran also replied
On the other hand, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that his country is ready to talk about a fair and correct proposal. However, he has also warned that if America takes any aggressive step, Iran will respond with full force for its security. Amidst this tug of war, the oil market has also become volatile and fluctuations in prices are being seen.
