The Defense Ministry of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has given major information that on March 29, the country’s air defense system successfully destroyed 16 ballistic missiles and 42 drones in the air. According to the ministry, the security systems were completely successful in stopping these attacks carried out by Iran. However, in this attack, two UAE soldiers on duty have been martyred and citizens of many other countries including India have also lost their lives.
Details of civilians who lost their lives and those injured in the attack
This attack has also affected the expatriates living in Gulf countries. The Defense Ministry has confirmed that a total of 8 foreign nationals have died during the attack, including citizens of India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Palestine. Apart from this, a civilian contractor of Moroccan origin has also died in this incident.

The UAE Defense Ministry said that they are fully prepared to protect the sovereignty and security of the country. The number of missiles and drones intercepted since the beginning of Iran’s attacks is quite high. The Ministry is continuously releasing latest updates through social media platform ‘X’.

There has also been news of a missile and drone attack on the Al Taweelah plant of Emirates Global Aluminum (EGA) in Abu Dhabi, causing injuries to the employees working there.
