New Delhi, May 19 (IANS). Sant Samaj has welcomed the statement of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding offering Namaz on the streets. Ashtakoushal Mahant Yoganand Giri of Shri Panchadashnam Juna Akhara said that roads are only for movement and transportation and not for offering namaz. At the same time, CPI(M) termed it as a dual policy.
Ashtakoushal Mahant Yoganand Giri of Shri Panchdasnam Juna Akhara, while talking to news agency IANS, said, “The statement given by CM Yogi Adityanath regarding Namaz is nothing short of praise. In fact, roads are only for movement and transportation, and not for offering Namaz.
He said that any kind of worship should not take place on the road. The road has been built for the general public. Processions and processions can be taken out on the road, but the road is not for worship. If you have to offer namaz on the road, remove the mosque. There should be such a system in the mosque that namaz can be offered with complete devotion.
He said that there is a huge crowd of devotees even inside the temples. There is a crowd in the Shiva temples during the month of Shravan and Durga temples on the occasion of Nauratri, but people do not worship sitting on the streets. Sant Samaj is happy with the decision of CM Yogi.
CPI(M) MP Hannan Mollah criticized Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s statement regarding offering Namaz on public roads. He termed it as the dual policy of the government.
Hannan Mollah said, “Okay, if this is a government policy then implement it honestly. Muslims will not offer namaz on the roads, but some people commit hooliganism by occupying the roads the whole day, due to which the roads remain closed for months. The government should not do double politics. If you want to show true honesty then make the policy equally with everyone.
