What should not be done in Chaturmas?

Tamasic food should not be consumed. One should avoid ill feelings or harsh words towards anyone. One should stay away from unnecessary disputes and anger. Religious rules should not be ignored. In some traditions, marriages and major auspicious functions are also avoided.

How to meditate on renunciation?
If a person has sacrificed something during Chaturmas, then after the completion of the period, Udyapan is performed.
For Udyapan:
Worship Lord Vishnu as per the rituals. Offer food to God. Provide food to Brahmins or needy people. Donate as per your capacity. Donate or surrender the discarded item as per religious tradition.
