Jeep India on Thursday officially launched the Meridian three-row SUV with manual transmission in the country for Rs 29.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant. Of Launched at introductory price. Price of top-of-the-line variants with automatic transmission 36.95 lakh (ex-showroom). Nipun Mahajan of Jeep India believes that the price structure is disruptive and will help the SUV compete with its rivals.

With the launch, Meridian locks horns against the segment leader Toyota Fortuner, which has been a major player in the Indian landscape over the years, as well as the MG Gloster. “The brand Jeep believes that it is time for the Indian customers to embark on a new adventure in the sophisticated and capable Jeep Meridian. With a top speed of 198 kmph, Meridian claims to accelerate to 100 kmph in 10.8 seconds which is quite impressive considering the dimensions and proportions of the vehicle.

Jeep Meridian Exterior Highlights:
The outside of the Meridian has a confident stance and shape, and while it isn’t quite as butchery like some of its rivals, it does have strong geometric lines around it. The face features a trademark seven-slat grille with LED head lights and LED DRLs on either side. There’s a solid chrome bar that splits the bumper and large air dams to complete the face.
The SUV is parked on 18-inch alloy wheels under large arches. There is a strong character line extending from the front arches to the rear door handles. The rear of the vehicle gets LED taillights, chrome connectors in the middle and gray rear bumper garnish.
Jeep Meridian Cabin Highlights:
The Meridian has three-rows of seating and while the last row has limited space, the cabin itself is as premium as can be expected in a Jeep. There’s a 10.1-inch main infotainment screen and the feature list includes an all-digital driver display, ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, 360-degree camera, support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, among others.
