New Delhi, December 1 (IANS). In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, belly fat, gas, constipation, indigestion and back pain have become common problems. These problems may seem small, but they can also become the cause of big problems. In such a situation, one can get relief from these problems with the help of yoga.
The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, while giving information about Pawanmuktasana, considers it to be one of the simple and effective asanas. Pawanmuktasana is also called ‘Wind Relieving Pose’, because it instantly relieves the stomach by expelling the polluted air accumulated in the body. Regular exercise strengthens the digestive system, keeps the intestines clean, reduces excess belly fat rapidly, strengthens the muscles of the waist and thighs and also keeps the nerves of the spine healthy.
Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, along with the benefits of practicing Pawanmuktasana, also tells the method, which is very easy. Lie straight on the back on the yoga mat, bend both the knees and raise the legs, hold the knees with the hands and press them tightly to the chest, while exhaling, lift the head up and try to touch the chin with the knees. In this position, keep breathing normally for 22 to 30 seconds, then slowly bring the head and legs down and rest in Shavasana.
It is most beneficial to practice Pawanmuktasana in the morning on an empty stomach. However, some people need to exercise caution. Pregnant women, stomach ulcer or hernia patients, those who have recently undergone abdominal surgery, people with slip disc or severe back pain should not do this asana without expert advice. High blood pressure patients should not lift their heads, practice only by keeping their knees close to the chest. Extra pressure should not be put on the body during exercise.
