New Delhi, 23 September (IANS). India’s biggest health protection scheme, ‘Ayushman Bharat: Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana’, started on Tuesday, started seven years. Under this scheme, free health insurance cover of up to 5 lakh is being provided to crores of people of the country, which has positively affected the lives of common people. One of these is Nanu Bhai of Gujarat, whose Ayushman card was made a successful knee operation in a private hospital.
‘Modi Story’ shared the moment of positive change in the life of Nanu Bhai of Gujarat with ‘Ayushman Bharat: Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana’.
In this video, Nanu Bhai, the beneficiary of the scheme, is seen thanks to Prime Minister Modi and tells about both his knees operations.
Nanu Bhai says that both my knees had a lot of trouble. Had to go to the toilet with someone’s support in the house. I was retired and my life was passing on pension. Then I got information about Ayushman card and took advantage of it. Along with the government, this scheme was also implemented in private hospitals, after which I got my successful operation done.
‘Modi Story’ shared Nanu Bhai’s video on the social media platform X and wrote, “India’s biggest health protection scheme, ‘Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana’, was launched on 23 September 2018. Under this scheme, crores of people are getting free health insurance cover up to Rs 5 lakh today. This facility is available in government as well as private hospitals.”
The post stated, “There is an inspirational example of this scheme, Nanu Bhai of Dahod, Gujarat. Both of them could not even walk without support in their knees. After making Ayushman card, he got a knee operation done in a private hospital. During this time neither he had to pay for surgery, nor medicines, and even a compensation of Rs 300.”
‘Modi Story’ quoted Nanu Bhai as saying that when Prime Minister Modi met him in Dahod’s program, he personally asked for half an hour behind the stage. PM Modi even remembered that Nanu Bhai had a knee operation and said affectionately that now lose weight, only then the operation will get full benefit.
The post further explained, “Nanu Bhai is emotional and says that the Prime Minister explained to me that day as my mother used to explain. Ayushman Bharat is not only insurance, but is a historical step in the direction of a healthy India under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.”
