New Delhi, May 20 (IANS). As International Yoga Day approaches, the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India has appealed to adopt yoga and bring peace in your daily routine. Before Yoga Day celebrated on June 21, the Ministry made people aware that Yoga is not just a physical exercise but is also a strong means of peace and balance of mind.
According to the ministry, maintaining balance in today’s fast-paced world has become a challenge and peace is a constant practice. Yoga goes far beyond the movement of our bodies. It calms the mind, awakens compassion and provides depth to our being. The ministry has appealed to people to pause for a few moments every day, take a deep breath and reconnect with the valuable things that truly matter in life.
The health expert believes that “when we find peace within ourselves, we create peace around us.” In a world full of noise, conflict and constant reactions, yoga teaches us the power of ‘pausing’. Every conscious breath and every yoga practice is a positive step towards harmony, compassion and collective well-being.
Also, yoga experts urge citizens to include yoga in their daily routine. Be it Surya Namaskar, meditation or Pranayam, even small exercises can bring a big change in life. Yoga not only improves physical health but also reduces mental stress, creates emotional balance and keeps you healthy.
According to the ministry, the practice of yoga teaches a person to control his reactions. When we remain calm, we are able to make better decisions and be more empathetic towards others. In such a situation, Yoga Day is not only an annual festival but also a resolution to choose peace every day. The special thing is that yoga can be practiced anywhere and by people of any age, it is beneficial for all ages, from children to adults.
