New Delhi. Samajwadi Party has announced to contest Maharashtra civic elections alone without any alliance. Maharashtra SP state president Abu Azmi fiercely targeted Congress. He said that whenever we have formed an alliance, we have been cheated. We have never got a clear alliance. Last time in the assembly elections they had given up two seats without talking to us, what kind of alliance is this. We have seen that Congress is the main party in alliances. The Congress party always breaks alliance with us when the time comes to fill the forms. We do not want division of votes. We want all secular forces to fight together so that there is no division of votes. But big parties only know how to take, not give. It is his view that Samajwadi Party should end. We are seeing that our vote bank is on 125 to 150 seats and Samajwadi Party will contest on these seats.

Abu Azmi said, Samajwadi Party is the name of a movement. This is a movement, SP is the party of farmers, laborers and depressed sections of the society. This is not a corporate party. The aim of Samajwadi Party is to work for the oppressed, backward and Dalit minorities on PDA. Vote, our rule is yours, this will no longer work. Samajwadi Party welcomes people of every religion and the party never brings religion into politics. Due to the reservation of seats in the elections, many people who do good work have been deprived of contesting the elections. I suggest that the Election Commission and Prime Minister Narendra Modi should pay attention in this regard. Azmi said that I am also writing a letter to the Election Commission in this regard.
