Bengaluru, 12 September (). Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday condoled the tragic incident of a truck entering the Ganesh immersion procession. Eight people died in this incident. More than 20 people have also been injured in this incident.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, while posting on the social media platform X, said that hearing this news, it was very sad that a truck climbed a truck on the people going in Ganesh immersion procession in Hassan, killing many people and more than 20 people were seriously injured.
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said, “I pray that the departed souls should be peaceful and the injured should be healthy as soon as possible. The government will give a compensation of Rs 5-5 lakh to the families of the dead. The government will also bear the expenses of treatment of the injured in this incident. It is a very painful tragedy. Let us all stand together with families affected by the accident.”
Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda said, “The tragic incident during Ganesh immersion in Mosale Hosahalli village in Hassan district, in which 8 people lost their lives and many others were seriously injured, are very heartbreaking.”
He said, “I pray that the departed souls get peace and all the injured are recovering as soon as possible. I am also involved in the grief of those who have lost their families in this unfortunate accident.”
Leader of Opposition R. Ashok said, “The tragic incident in Mosale Hosahalli village in Hassan district, where a canter lorie entered the Ganesh Visarjan procession, killed eight people and more than 20 people were seriously injured, they have shocked deep and heartbroken.”
He said that “I pray for the peace of the souls of those who lose their lives in this accident and give the power to the bereaved families to bear this immense grief. I urge the state government and the district administration to take necessary steps to treat the injured immediately and to announce appropriate compensation for the families of the deceased.”
BJP state president and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra said, “The incident in Mosale Hosahalli in Hassan district, where a vehicle entered the Ganesh immersion procession, causing a sad death of eight people and injured 20 others, has caused deep shock.
He said, “I pray for the peace of the departed souls, urge the authorities to take immediate steps to provide necessary medical treatment to the injured, and urge the government to announce immediate compensation for the bereaved families.”
