Mangaluru, June 13 (IANS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary and Karnataka BJP in-charge Radha Mohan Das Agarwal on Saturday praised the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that India has achieved remarkable progress and development under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
Speaking at the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Sammelan organized by the BJP’s Dakshina Kannada district unit at Palemar Garden in Mangaluru, Agarwal said Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and his contribution to nation building continues to inspire party workers and leaders alike.
He urged BJP workers and office-bearers to imbibe the vision and commitment of Prime Minister Modi while working towards strengthening the party organization and realizing the goal of a developed India.
During the event, many individuals who have made notable contributions in various fields of the society were honored. The awardees included military veterans who served the country in the armed forces, senior citizens who continued to work for the society and the party even after retirement, cremation ground employees, municipal corporation workers, sportspersons, fishermen, terraced farmers and achievers in the agriculture sector.
The honorees were felicitated by BJP leaders including Satish Kumpala and other dignitaries in the presence of Radha Mohan Das Agarwal.
Dakshina Kannada MP Captain Brijesh Chowta, District BJP President J. Krishna Palemar, MLAs Vedvyas Kamath, Bharat Shetty, Rajesh Naik, Umanath Kotian, Harish Poonja and Bhagirathi Murulya, MLCs Kishore Kumar Puttur and Pratap Singh Nayak, former minister S. Angara, former MLCs Balkrishna Bhat and Monappa Bhandari, BJP co-incharge Jayant Kotian, former MLAs, district and mandal officials and party workers were present.
Agarwal was given a hearty welcome upon reaching the conference venue.
Earlier in the day, he attended a breakfast meeting held at the residence of MLA Vedavyas Kamath. He also participated in the tree plantation program organized in line with Prime Minister Modi’s call to plant trees in the name of his mother.
Meanwhile, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman met Bengaluru Rural District BJP President Ramakrishnappa, Bengaluru North District BJP President S. at Kempegowda International Airport on Saturday. Harish and Devanahalli Mandal President Ambarish Gowda welcomed.
Vikas Bharat Sankalp Samavesh will be organized on Sunday (June 14) at 11 am at Purnima Convention Hall, Jayanagar 4th Block, Bengaluru. On this occasion, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, BJP State President and MLA BY Vijayendra, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly R. Ashok and BJP Yuva Morcha national president and MP Tejashwi Surya will be present.
