NDA crossed 200: BJP gave credit to Modi's policy, JDU said- 'Women brought victory'

In the latest trends of 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has crossed the 200 seats mark. Meanwhile, Janata Dal (United) on Friday highlighted the role of women voters in the mandate. At the same time, BJP said that people have once again expressed their faith in the development-centric politics of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The BJP-led NDA has an impressive lead in over 200 of the 243 assembly seats in the state, and trends indicate that the saffron party is on track to register its biggest win with an impressive strike rate.

“NDA is heading towards a massive victory in Bihar,” BJP MP and chief spokesperson Anil Baluni said on Twitter in Hindi.

Baluni also posted a video footage of Prime Minister Modi’s election campaign in Bihar, in which he claimed that the NDA would register its biggest ever electoral victory in the state.

Sharing the same video clip of Modi, BJP MP and national spokesperson Sambit Patra wrote in Bhojpuri on X, “Bihar’s bumper hit became, Jodi Modi became Nitish ji’s hit.”

Amidst the trends of Congress’s crushing defeat in the elections, BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia targeted Rahul Gandhi and said that the opposition party has not only lost its legacy under his leadership but has also lost its credibility.

Hailing the NDA’s performance in the state elections, another BJP national spokesperson, Gopal Krishna Agarwal, said the people of Bihar have once again reposed their faith in Modi’s development-centric politics.

He said, “People also want to ensure their participation in this journey of development. That is why they have chosen NDA.”

Taking aim at the RJD leadership, BJP IT department head Amit Malviya said, “At this time both Lalu’s sons are lagging behind.” He said on XTV that even after 20 years, echoes of “Jungle Raj” are heard in Bihar. PTI PK PK DV DV

JDU said that the trust of the women of Bihar has won, NDA has won and Bihar has won. In a post on Twitter, Janata Dal (United) shared, “The trust of the women of Bihar has been won… NDA has won, Bihar has won.”

It is worth noting that Bihar witnessed a historic 67.13% voter turnout, the highest since 1951, with women voters outnumbering men (71.6% vs. 62.8%).

The NDA had secured 206 seats in the 2010 elections and is poised to touch the same figure once again as it is currently leading on 203 seats, while both the BJP and JD(U) have shown unexpected performances.

Additionally, BSP is leading on one seat and AIMIM is leading on five seats.

For Nitish Kumar, who has been ruling the state for nearly two decades, this election is being seen as a test of both political stamina and public confidence.

The chief minister, once known as “good governance babu” for taking Bihar out of the darkness of what is often referred to as “Jungle Raj”, has faced voter fatigue in recent years and questions over his changing political stance.
