According to sources, this particular date was chosen primarily because of the birth anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, which adds to the cultural significance of the event. Also, the Election Commission has issued a notification regarding the formation of the new assembly after the completion of the election process; This notification has been sent to the Governor. Who has been appointed as observer by BJP?
To oversee the government formation process, the BJP has appointed Union Home Minister Amit Shah as the central observer and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi as the co-observer. Both these leaders will meet the newly elected MLAs to finalize the names of the Chief Minister’s post and the cabinet.
According to sources, Amit Shah is expected to reach Kolkata on Thursday so that he can attend the assembly party meeting. In the recently concluded elections, BJP secured a huge mandate by winning 207 seats, while TMC was reduced to just 80 seats. In this backdrop, the party is now moving rapidly towards forming a new government with the support of a strong leadership.
